Description

The colour you're checking out right now was one of the first deep tones mixed for the Urban Minerals family. This particular shade is unique because it has just a hint of red tones to it, but stays fairly neutral on the skin. It does a very good job of maintaining the deep tones of the skin without leaving the skin looking ashy. You know what we mean when we say ashy right? Thought so! If not, it’s simply just a grey pallor to the skin that leaves it looking either dry or unhealthy. Not sexy to say the least. But this particular shade was mixed for my girl who's of Somalian descent with that particular issue in mind, so it can definitely handle whatever you got.

Julia Nethersole

Hi! I'm Julia. I think that women are magic because the roles we play and the identities that we adopt are consistently evolving. Currently, I see myself as a storyteller, daughter, girlfriend, sister, reader, goal-setter, writer, people person, volunteer, casual watercolour painter, traveler, event planner, pilgrim, flower lover, friend, optimist, and collector of experiences.

I get excited about the promise of a productive sunny Saturday, planning gatherings for people I love, setting big goals, and a good book. In September 2014 I walked the Camino de Santiago, a 775km pilgrimage across northern Spain. This trek taught me to appreciate the journey and feel it all - good and bad! To me, an abundant life is one filled with love, gratitude, good people, and purpose.
