Boppin' Around

by Sarah Devika Sumnauth

Today I took myself out of my usual work space at home. I figure new moon, new energy, new approach, new results. And it worked. I made some awesome progress on a few key things that I’ve felt blocked on lately and really enjoyed my day. I decided to get outta dodge because as of lately I’ve been noticing that I feel a little unmotivated in my at home office space. It makes sense I guess. Close proximity to the refrigerator and snacks have me running downstairs every hour to make a hot cup of tea or just to take a break which can be extended for longer than I’d like to admit.

I found today that when I was in a communal space that I really felt compelled to get my pending stuff done and focus. Maybe it’s because people around me were focused on their work, or there was ambient noise or whatever but it really helped me to get out of my head and into work mode. Great success!

I will try boppin’ around to a few spots to see what spaces lead to the most productivity. Maybe next will be my old local library, or downtown at the reference library. We will see. All I can say for now is thank God for days off! Who knows where I’d be without you.
