So today I had another weekly meeting with Ms. Rebecca Arboly – designer extraordinaire – and came to the conclusion that entrepreneurship is kinda rad.
Sure, there’s a ton of work to be done. Sure, all of the responsibility lies on my head. And yes, I know that there will be days that things will not go my way.
But you know what? I kind of like it that way.
I have always been one to have high personal standards of what I consider to be beautiful, well done and smart. One could construe this as perfectionism or controlling but honestly it’s just a need to see what’s in my minds’ eye come out. I have such a wonderful vision for what this can be, and such high moral, ethical and most importantly, environmental standards that there can be no compromise on the outcome, (unless of course it’s physically impossible, and even then you can play with those boundaries).
I would also be remiss if I just waited for someone else to come along and do it and not go for my dreams full force.
Entrepreneurship is a hugely rewarding project or a multitude of small projects ending somewhere among the stars. If you can do it, which you can, then why not? What’s holding you back, my friend? You can do anything you put your mind to.
And if all else fails, I will keep this quote close to my heart.
“Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won’t, so that you can spend the rest of your life like most people can’t.”
I want to work hard, and play hard. Getting to one, without the other is kind of impossible, SO, it’s the entrepreneur’s life for me…
Ps. Check out this beautiful water colour RA painted. You will see it soon times coming up in a big way ;)
