Today I finally mixed a perfectly matched foundation for my skin tone. Hooray!
The process itself took around 3 hours from start to finish which I think is pretty reasonable considering I had to make sure my workspace was clean and organized, my utensils were in working order and also I spent a fair amount of time writing everything down.
The end product is well matched to my skin tone. When wearing it I feel like my skin tone is evened out and that I’m given an “airbrushed” look which I like. I also have it perfectly maatched to my summer skin tone, and I have gotten a fair amount of sun so I feel fairly bronzed too.
That stuff is all good, but I wouldn’t say that it’s necessarily perfect. At this point it may be the right shade, but I still have adjusting to do for the formula. I suspect this will take it’s own time to do, which is fine. I want the end product to have less sheen to it, because I may not have oily skin, but many women do, and shine is the Anti-Christ.
I will continue to update about this progress, but for now I am going to celebrate this success because this is a really exciting moment for me. I can’t wait to get back at it tomorrow and the next day.
Tweaks, adjustments and do-overs are the name of the game now, but hey isn’t that all of life anyway?
